Garden week this week ,the morning got off to a great start with the children making a lemon drizzle cake… and obviously getting messy.
Recipe:
- cream together 6oz of caster sugar with 6oz of butter.
- beat in 3 eggs one at a time.
- sift in 6oz of self raising flour.
- plus the zest of a lemon and fold till silky.
- bake for around 30 minuets at aprox 160 degrees.
- drizzle with the juice of one lemon.
- sprinkle with a healthy amount of granulate sugar.
- go for a walk around the garden, then finally…..ENJOY!
We then set of towards the garden…
we found some Gourds and a various other things …
exploring the Dixter jungle and Arlo saw a Tiger
Poppy being chased round the Christmas tree…
Now heading back to plant some little double headed daffodils and jumping in puddles as they went …
